Brita is committed to reducing bottled water waste and has teamed up with the following partners to support the FilterForGood pledge.

Brita was the title sponsor of Brita Climate Ride 2008, the first multi-day bicycle ride where pedal strokes raised money and awareness for meaningful climate change and renewable energy legislation. This September the Brita Climate Riders will hit the road again, pedaling 300 miles from New York City to Washington, D.C., each raising $2,400 for beneficiary organizations Focus the Nation, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and Clean Air – Cool Planet. Brita Climate Ride is also a climate conference on wheels; each night expert speakers educate the riders about the science, policies and solutions to the climate crisis. And, thanks to Brita there aren’t any empty bottled water containers along the route, because the riders are supplied with Brita filtered water in special FilterForGood bike bottles. Visit ClimateRide.org to see more videos and photos, donate and sign up for the next ride.

Brita and FilterForGood have been working with NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” since season 5 to eliminate bottled water waste from the show’s campus and make it easier for contestants to meet weight loss goals with healthier1, great-tasting water. During the first season they helped the campus save more than 32,000 bottles from being used and potentially ending up in landfills. Now, the show works to raise awareness among its fans. Check out the video below to learn more and be sure to tune in to NBC Tuesdays at 8:00 EST/7:00 CST as contestants give up bottled water in their quest for a healthier life and planet.
